I called Tingey because of a recommendation from a friend who has done extensive remodeling on her home. I have used Tingey for annual routine checks on plumbing, heating and air as well as the installation of two new furnaces in the fall of 2010. Each time they have gone beyond my expectations in the quality of the work as well as the explanations of what was required. I have had at least four different technicians and each has expertise in the area serviced. One saved a huge mess for me by detecting a hydrant that had broken off inside the wall of my home. It could have done tremendous damage when spring came, but he caught it. I am member of their “customer club” and get price reductions on all work. The best part us that I now have a company that knows my home and monitors heating, cooling and plumbing as my home ages. I have peace of mind that something goes wrong, Tingey will “find it and fix it”.
We recently had to redo our mechanical room, including: replacement of two furnaces, humidifiers and water heaters. We also had a fair amount of general plumbing work performed (upgrade to larger diameter piping, etc.). Ken Tingey is always through and professional. He takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work and customer satisfaction. He holds his coworkers to his high standards. As a customer, he responds to questions/concerns in a favorable and patient manner. He always takes whatever time is necessary to explain things. If he does not have the answer at hand, rest assured that he will get it. From cost standpoint, his bid was most favorable when compared to a large, well-known competitor. We have used Ken repeatedly for various jobs over the last 9 years and will continue to do so!
We were happy and very pleased with the service. It was friendly and more than I expected.
I have used Tingey for multiple plumbing and heating issues for more than 10 years and I have fourd them prompt and always helpful, and fair in their pricing.
Tingey is reliable whether one makes an appointment for service or has an emergency. I was having my kitchen’s hardwood floors refinished when I discovered that the under-sink shut off value supplying water to the refrigerator’s ice maker was frozen in the open position–water streaming, not dripping from the copper line. I called Tingey and asked for a plumber to come the same day. By 2:00 PM he was here and replaced the value and even reconnected the water line to the refrigerator. I have no fears now of leaking water damaging my beautiful floor! Tingey did not charge extra for the emergency call. I had an internal water shut off value for my evaporative cooler replaced almost a year ago, and the cost to me this time was almost the same. I have confidence in Tingey to do what they say they will and to do it with excellent service.
